So, it’s finally over. It seems strange to report, but after much apprehension/fear/excitement/sleepless nights/testing/listening/recording/ re-recording/listening/and far too much coffee, I can report to you that my debut album Dreams has been recorded, mixed, mastered, and is now finished.
There were times when I honestly wasn’t sure if this would ever be completed. The album is not perfect, and I have absolutely no idea if anyone will like it, but the album feels right. I suppose in some ways that is all that matters. Compared to the 2015 version, it is obviously a little different, a mixture of more lofi and raw moments as well as some additional atmosphere and production, but the album as a whole is still rooted in the same place, which was an important thing to keep.
Assuming all goes well, the new, official version of Dreams will be released physically and digitally on September 23rd. Before then, some of the music and videos will start rolling out so you can get a sense of what’s to come. And before any of that, I’m going to get more coffee and fall asleep for a quick minute. Or a couple of days.
Until next time.
