So, I’m On That Instagram Thing Now

Dear Reader,

I finally broke down and bought a smartphone. I tried to resist as long as I could, but eventually I just gave in. Despite my fear that I would have to check into rehab for smartphone addiction, that so far hasn’t happened. (Of course, I’ve had it for less than a week, so there’s still time.) The whole “internet on your phone” thing doesn’t really phase me that much. However, I’m in the beginning stages of a passionate love affair with Instagram. There are so many amazing artists on Instagram–and then there’s me. I never realized how fascinating tablecloths were until I discovered the endless amount of filters you could put on a photo. So now I’m just walking around my house taking pictures of things and labeling them “abstract.” If you’d like, you can follow me at this link.Ā

Are you on Instagram? Are you as fascinated with tablecloths as I am? Let me know in the comments down below!

  1. I love my phone…..I can’t believe how good the pictures come out…and I love having the internet/google at my fingertips….we RV a lot and I use it to find a place to stay and grocery stores….Hello my name is Katy and I am .addicted to my cell phone…LOL…..

  2. I was a relative late comer to the smartphone world as well. Got mine about a year ago. Not addicted to the smartphone idea really although some apps are quite useful. I refuse to use FB and Twitter apps, prefer to use the browser for that. If I have my laptop with me away from Wifi, I’ll use the hotspot tethering feature of the phone to give my laptop internet access. That is really handy.
Also haven’t got onto Instagram. I’m trying to resist using these auto-filters. But hat’s just me.

    • I know what you mean about using the Twitter app. For some reason, it looks really different, and more confusing, compared to the browser version. But that might just be a learning curve.

  3. This is so funny šŸ™‚ I had to recently write an article about Instagram and the many who use its filters šŸ™‚ Tablecloths though :D!

  4. Hope the new smartphone works well for you. I got a lame model and it only annoys me! šŸ™‚ BTW, I’ve nominated you for the Dragon’s Loyalty Award. Hope you choose to participate. I’ve got a post on my blog that lists the rules.

  5. I believe I am the only person in America who doesn’t have a cell phone. At least, that’s the reaction I get when others find out. šŸ˜‰
