It seems that I have pulled another Beyoncé .
You see, in December of last year, Ms. Knowles, seemingly out of nowhere, released an entirely new album to the world. There was no word of it beforehand. In fact, just a few months prior, there had been reports that she had scrapped over 50 songs for a different sound. Because it was a new Beyoncé album, people were bound to talk about it. But because it was so unforeseen, people really talked about it.
Of course, when you’re not Beyoncé, releasing new material without any kind of buildup is kind of marketing suicide. But, oh well, that’s what I’ve done.
I have a new book out today. If you remember my post last year about releasing Glass People, the novel Growing People is, not surprisingly, the sequel. It’s a little hard to talk about because you have to read the first book before you understand everything that is going on in the second. Here’s a bit of info: Glass People was about a group of five strangers who came together in a suicide support group to help heal and move forward, with some musical numbers thrown into the mix. In the second half, these same characters continue to reach for their goals, but have the added challenge of trying to comprehend the pain and tragedy that took place at the end of the first book.

As always, I hate to make this all about me, so if there is something that you recently finished and want to promote, feel free to do so in the comments section below.
