The Beginning

Dear Reader,

I am not sure if you exist. If you do exist, hello. I suppose it’s a little pompous of me to automatically assume that someone is going to be reading my blog post just because I write it. In truth, there are thousands of blogs out there, many of them far more interesting than this one. That’s bad marketing, but I would rather have readers be aware of the truth and the truth is this: I am a fairly private person who does not communicate well. When someone asks me how I am doing, I respond with a “good” or “okay”. On a very talkative day, I say that I am “pretty good”. Any writing projects that I am currently working on are not usually discussed. My favorite place to go is my room, a place which makes me feel like I am being held away from the insecurities of life. Being a private person and having a blog usually is not a good combination, so we will have to see how this works. I’m also typically a mess. In fact, there are very few days when my mind is not a mess of ideas and chaos. If you continue reading this blog, you will find that out very quickly. I hope you are not too bored. If you are, I am sure that there will are many other blogs out there that you can explore. Let me know if you need any suggestions. If you do stay, though, you should get a host of blog posts on everything related to reading, writing, and anything else that sounds interesting. If you have a blog post idea that you think of, feel free to contact me and I might just use it.

Nice to meet you, whoever you are.

Sincerely,

Jumbled Writer

  1. Welcome to the wonder of the internet Jumbled Writer. You topic is very interesting and I like your introduction. One question I would have is – How do you focus and stay on track when things around seem to make that impossible?

    • Dear Mary,
The internet is wonderful, isn’t it? Tips on focusing would make a great blog post. Thanks for the idea. For now, I can say that knowing what time your brain functions the best can be helpful when planning a writing schedule. When this does not work, I find music to be just enough of a distraction to cancel out all of the other distractions around me or in my head.
      Sincerely,
      Jumbled Writer

  2. My mind is usually a total chaotic mess also. I am looking forward to reading more of your blog posts. I could use some tips on writing and how to make sense of all of the ideas that come into my head.

    • Dear Jessica,
Thank you for visiting my website. I hope that I am able to help you out in whatever way I can. Writing is an occupation that has no limits.
      Sincerely,
      Jumbled Writer
